Your Second Visit
Treatment occurs on each visit and by the 3rd or 4th appointment all exam and x-ray results will be presented, and your treatment program explained. Allow up to 20 minutes for the Report of Findings visit.
The amount of Initial Intensive Care that is required will be determined by the type of condition and it's cause, how long you have had it and your overall health status.
Generally daily treatment for acute pain syndromes is advised during the first week to reduce symptoms as quickly as possible. Most people feel at a 50% reduction in acute pain within 5-10 days. People with longer standing chronic and degenerative conditions are seen less frequently as more healing time is required between visits. The use of ice and/or heat will be advised as needed.
